Italian painter, born ca. 1330, had a leading workshop in Bologna. He produced many Gothic devotional works under private commission. One of his more well-known pieces is in the Ashmolean Museum, a folding triptych of The Crucifixion, The Angel Gabriel, and The Virgin and Saint James.
