Israeli painter, illustrator and craftsman. Mizrachi was born in Tehran and immigrated to Israel around 1890, where he added the name Mizrachi to his original family name, Shah. He settled in the old city in Jerusalem and opened a workshop for frames and mirrors. He created “Mizrach” and “Shiviti” pictures on glass, along with illustrations of the book of Esther and the story of David and Goliath. The Akedah is a frequent subject in his later works in paintings and lithographs.
